Kenya Nelson is the founder and CEO of Kenya Nelson Design, an interior design firm that specializes in soft modern & classic contemporary design.  She is the principal designer responsible for the overall vision and management of all design projects and places distinct emphasis on her passion for technology and a better quality of life.  Her casual sense of style in design evokes warmth and an inviting place for you be refreshed, relaxed and renewed.  

Prior to pursuing her own true passion, Ms. Nelson worked 15 years in the corporate arena and spent over 6 years with one of the largest companies in the world – Microsoft Corporation and then moved to another power player Research in Motion (RIM) creators of the BlackBerry and the BlackBerry Solution.

Kenya has assisted numerous Fortune 500 companies throughout her career and provided account management for enterprise support in messaging, operating systems, security, systems management, CRM, and mobile solutions.  Ms. Nelson’s certifications include MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator), ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) Foundations and Miller Heiman LAMP (Large Account Management Process).  She has a true sense of what it takes to become a great leader in today’s society and to learn how to succeed despite all of life’s obstacles.  Kenya has extended her work to include life design and has helped countless individuals improve the quality of their lives.  Her true desire is developing people and processes and she will motivate you to take action and transform your life or business.

As a speaker, Ms. Nelson takes that same concept into the speaking arena and is quickly becoming one of the next rising stars in motivational speaking today. She is very passionate about leadership, interior design and personal development.  She truly believes that in order for people or businesses to thrive that they must always understand their designed purpose.  Ms. Nelson has an authentic way of making her audience feel comfortable while challenging them to overcoming their weaknesses and developing their greatest strengths.

Kenya Nelson has a degree in Information Systems & Analysis from Howard University, School of Business and originally pursued Computer Systems Engineering at Howard until she felt compelled to pursue business & leadership.  She is currently studying Interior Architecture & Design and working on completing her first book on personal development.
